“Sgt. Frog,” the hugely popular manga by Mine Yoshizaki, is currently serialized in “Monthly Shonen Ace” (published by KADOKAWA). This year marks the 27th year of its serialization, and it has been a massive hit, with a TV anime series, flash animation, and five theatrical anime films released.
This hugely popular series, which caused a social phenomenon in the 2000s, depicts the interactions between Keroro and his alien friends, who have come to invade Earth, and the Earthlings they encounter there! With its relatable characters and relentless gags and comedy, including their clumsy antics that lead them to end up staying as houseguests despite their initial invasion, it has gained widespread popularity among people of all ages, both domestically and internationally.
And then 2026—
In the midst of the 20th anniversary project of the anime adaptation, “New Theatrical Version ☆ Sgt. Frog” is set to begin production.
The script and overall direction are handled by Yuichi Fukuda, one of the leading hitmakers in the comedy world, known for the “Gintama” film series and the “Brave Yoshihiko” series. About “Poker Chase”
The game is played in Texas Hold’em style of poker, in which players form a hand using five out of seven cards—two dealt to the player and five community cards added to the table—with the winner determined by the strength of their hand.
